Caligine - Ter

I'm extremely happy Caligine themself contacted me for this. I am a huge fan of Caligine, I love every release they made. They always seem to fuse folk elements with noise or ambient without any effort. In this release the folk is more prominent en the experimental edge slithers in between guitar strings.

Caligine - Nebbie

Another Caligine, and I loved it, every bit of it. I can't believe how excited I was when this got caught in my sails (I'm running low on pirate metaphors..). And I recently found out Caligine is a group, I always thought it was just one person.

Siberian Islands - Equal

This is something rather new and fresh. It has some breakbeat and some post-rock/trip-hop elements, but all overlayered with the very prominent use of real instruments, in stead of samples.

Dotåbåtå - Cloudburst

Yarr!!

It has been a while, since yer filthy eyes laid waste upon me silvery writings. But let thar be no apologies made, it is this ship's captain who order you lowlife searats around!
Let me tell you the tale of when I crashed in Australia, a tale so wondrous you'll be scratchin' yer heads so hard, it'll leave holes when I'm done! A tale so terrifying, your fleas will be able to hold unto yer bodies because of all ye shakin'!

...It's all a little blurry though...
..I remember lots of wenches and mead, but the most important part of the journey was the discovery of the mighty Dotåbåtå, a monster so huge, it could swallow ye whole, all of ye at once!
Thar be brave lads who give their lives for a recording of it's roar and when it does get recorded, heaven cries for ten whole days.
Cloudburst isn't a recording of Dotåbåtå's precious roar, it is the recording of the ten days afterwards, the cry of heaven. It's tears sounding off against the sweet voices of sirens.
